Thermo Fisher manufactures the test kits, which have three target genes. Most competitors have one or two targets and a higher probability of a false negative.
Based on data submitted to the FDA, the analyzer shows 100% sensitivity at 10 RNA copies per 1mL. The analyzer also shows specificity of 100%.
